Joined as a mid-level IC, then stepped up when it became clear the project's sole senior engineer needed help spreading the architectural and mentoring load across a team of over ten engineers from multiple squads. SwiftUI and Combine were brand new, not just to the team but to the industry, so ramping up on the stack, building trust with engineers steeped in UIKit, and learning the project's history all had to happen at once.

Grew into more of a multiplier than a single decision-maker: planning and running bug-bashing sessions, staying on top of PR review, and pair programming across the team on top of regular feature work. The rebuild fully replaced the old UI (the project paused briefly after moving on, then eventually shipped), finally reaching visual parity with the Android app, which had launched six months earlier.
